K.R.M. DAV College, Nakodar, established in 1970, is a unique seat of learning situated in the heart of Doaba region. With nearly five decades of dedicated service to the cause of education in this part of the region it is on its march to accomplish Golden Jubilee of spectacular performance. It is a premier educational institution of north India and has a reputation of excellence in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. It can legitimately take pride in having produced young men and women who are occupying many important positions in different walks of life at home and abroad.

The college was started in a very small building in 1970 with Shri R.S. Sharma as its founder Principal. A very dedicated, simple and hard working man, Principal R.S. Sharma nurtured a wonderful work culture. Inspired by the noble motive of spreading higher education, Sh Amar Nath Misser, a landlord of Nakodar, donated 35 Kanals of land in which the present majestic building of the college is situated. Smt. Ved Kaur and Smt. Sushila Mahendru, donated Rs. One Lakh to perpetuate the memory of their beloved husband (Late) Shri Kharaiti Ram Mahindru, a business magnate of Jalandhar. Under the stewardship of learned Principals, the college has made rapid strides in all the fields - be it infrastructure, academics, sports and extra mural activities.

The competent faculty is the biggest pillar of strength of the institution and with its academics acumen and farsightedness, it has been helping its students groom physically, spiritually and academically as per the lofty traditions and vision of DAV College, Managing Committee, New Delhi.

K.R.M. DAV. Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, Nakodar is also functional in the campus of this college providing quality education in streams of Arts, Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce.
